Bishop Michael Hafidh of Zanzibar, Guest of honour
 Mh. Otieno Igogo,
General Secretary, ACT, Dr. Dickson chilongani
On 21st July 2012 we held a big fundraising event at the Landmark Hotel, Dar-es-Salaam to support TAYO projects. We thank God that the event went well and are very grateful to our planning committee in Dar who put in a lot of work to make the event a success. Many choirs and solo artists were present and helped make the event into a joyful celebration. The guest of honour was Otieno Igogo, president of the Tanzania tax payers association and we are very grateful to him for his generous donation.
Guest of honour entering with Rev. Johnson Lameck,
Youth Co-ordinator, Dar-es-Salaam
In total we raised around 18 million tanzanian shillings (over £7000). This will mainly go towards supporting our recording studio project. This is a huge step though we are continuing with the fundraising effort as more is still needed. If you are able to support us in this please make a donation on our just giving page on the link above.
Organising Committee

Also a few weeks ago we visited the diocese of Mpwapwa to asses the small loans and savings project which is half way through in that diocese. We visited 6 youth groups and their projects which included keeping pigs, chickens and goats, making gravel and selling bibles and other church resources.
All the projects are going well and the groups are successfully returning their loans and making savings. Please pray that their projects will continue to be a success and bring benefits to them, their families and their communities.
